What is CASHFLOW 101?
CASHFLOW 101 is an educational board game that teaches accounting, finance, investing and related strategies at the same time!
Developed by Robert Kiyosaki, author of the #1 personal finance book of all time, Rich Dad Poor Dad, CASHFLOW 101 is the ultimate realization of Robert’s vision of an interactive tool for financial education, and the fulfillment of his belief that we learn
The Goal is to Get out of the Rat Race
As a player, you assume a certain profession – whether a teacher, a nurse, a manager, a janitor, a mechanic, – who initially only earns through his salary and therefore only has an active form of income. Active income is the first type of income that comes from putting in considerable amount of time and work to earn it. Anyone who depends on this type of income – like salary – is said to be inside the Rat Race.
Your first goal is to get out of the rat race, and you do this by creating your streams of the second type of income called passive income. Passive income is the income you receive even without putting in so much time and effort. Examples of this are income from property rental, dividends and book royalty. You receive this kind of money even if you sleep all day!
To get of the rat race, your goal then is to accumulate enough passive income to an amount greater than your expenses. When you’re done with this, that’s the time you enter the Fast Track where a totally different world of opportunities are presented to you. Imagine the Fast Track as a place where all the giant tycoons we have in the Philippines are operating. This kind of world have bigger opportunities which are not readily available to ordinary Pinoy employees. Thus this game at the least also enlightens and opens up one’s mind to greater possibilities.
Real Lessons in a Safe Environment
The best thing about this game is it simulates real life financial strategies and situations that you yourself may face in your financial journey. Throughout the game, you encounter opportunities (called Deals) and are exposed to changeable Market conditions and several unforeseen or unexpected expenses or luxuries (called Doodads). With this kind of set-up, you learn valuable lessons and gain priceless insights into personal finance and investing without having to put your actual money at risk.
Whatever dream you may have, whether time freedom, or not having to deal with your boss again, this simple game reinforces the necessary basic knowledge you will need how to get out of the Rat Race and start living your life onto the Fast Track, where your money starts to really work hard for you.
Your #1 investment is your education
Here you will realize the common misconceptions and mistakes people have on the concepts of asset, debts and liability.
You will also discover and appreciate more the power of understanding your personal financial statement.Throughout the game, you will be seeing how your balance sheet and income statement looks like ( no need to have accounting background!)
You will also get to have practical real world investing lessons and realize what has been stopping you in your financial growth!
And best of all, you will be seeing like-minded people who can support you in the rest of your financial journey even after the game!

My First Cashflow 101 game
Personally I first played cashflow 101 matagal na, i think 2011 pa.
That was also the time when I was just a new employee earning my first income.
And since that time, a lot has been changed in my financial life and my life as a whole.
I learned to become a better investor.
I learned what things I should be focusing on.
I learned what is lacking in my life.
And i learned what is wrong in my beliefs!
It’s a total crazy roller-coaster ride!
Throughout that continuous learning and acting phase,
I made my first million, then my second, and so on and so forth.
But more than the money, it’s the improvement and growth I saw in myself that I’m very thankful of!
In fact, big part of of all my financial plans now revolve around the lessons I learned from that first game.
I don’t want to just talk about myself, and I wish you will also experience the same awakening I had at the least, especially if you’ve been an employee like me.
We only have very few slots left so make sure you reserve your slot as soon as possible.
Hope to see you there!
Have fun investing (with consistent learning)!

Not everybody’s going to be an entrepreneur, but everybody should be financially literate. Financial literacy is a base requirement like spelling or reading or something of the sort that everybody should acquire at any early age. The financial habits you develop when you are young are going to go with you into your adulthood. But you can’t be an entrepreneur unless you’re financially literate. – Warren Buffett
